Our Mission
Our mission is to become totally concerned about the male image in our churches and communities. Our aim is to cultivate the Christian life of laymen and Junior Laymen through study, worship, fellowship, and service. We solicit the aid of our pastors in helping to get the brotherhood involved with the Laymen Ministry.
FROM THE BEGINNING
The State Laymen Movement funds a scholarship to a worthy junior Laymen. The Arron J. Cains
Scholarship in honor of the late Brother Arron J. Cains and Past Laymen President Brother
Charles Hunter saw the need to financially assist our Junior Laymen and encourage them in their
pursuit of higher education.
DISASTER MANAGEMENT MINISTRY
A Ministry of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention
The Disaster Management Ministry is established to effectively bring comfort and care to
Brothers and Sisters that have been impacted by the devastation of a natural Disaster in their life
and community. Our goal is to communicate, coordinate, and work within churches, and
Districts to respond to the need of our brothers and sisters in need.
