Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19-20

A Message From the Director
To My Sisters in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God has been merciful and has blessed us to see a New Year, 2019. As we embark upon this New Year, we have opportunities to further advance the cause of Christ. Let us commit to working together to equip women so that they may find their spiritual purpose and effectively serve the communities in which they live.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the women of the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention. I thank Dr. Edward Alexander for his confidence in my serving you. Serving in leadership is a privilege and honor. Jesus said, “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many (Mark 10:45).” My sisters, you and I have been chosen to serve God and to serve people. It will require much prayer, hard work, and the Word of God as our guide.
The women of this convention thank Dr. Hilda J. Guillory for the fine work she has done with the Woman’s Auxiliary. We will continue to build upon the foundations laid by the previous leadership. The leadership team and I will work diligently to move this auxiliary forward as we together “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4: 13).”
I look forward to working with you during our Quarterly Conference (Monroe, LA) and the Annual Session (Lake Charles). Regional Leadership Conferences and our Woman’s Conference have been scheduled for 2019. You will soon receive a calendar of these events. Further, Louisiana will host the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. in New Orleans, LA in September. Let’s get excited and involved in the planning and preparation for the events ahead of us.
Continue to pray for the Louisiana Missionary Baptist State Convention, the Woman’s Auxiliary, and its leadership as we do the Work of the Kingdom. There is a great work ahead of us. By the grace of God, we will be up to the task. Let us remain faithful, available, and teachable.
Thank you so much, for all that you do. Much love to you, my Sisters!
Sister Ethel F. Mitchell, Director
